Some people have suggested boycotting the NSTP stable of publications to protest against the shameful civil suits against bloggers Jeff Ooi and Rocky.

That blog is made up of crony bloggers who have their own individual blogs. Does that mean that we should shun their individual blogs also?

There’s a huge difference between boycotting Monsterblog and boycotting those who blog for the monster.

Nothing to lose by shunning ‘em all, is there any? Have never gone to Monster Blog and its reputation preceding says that its crap(whar mainstream type stuff isn’t mostly?) and no loss whatsover not too go there.

Hmm..an allegedly aggrieved party sues an allegedly defaming one…..so can anyone sue the noosepapers for all their countless past spins? Unfortunately suits are far beyond everyone’s means and the legal system has yet to be viewed with even that degree of confidence prior to the late eighties and many laws seem to have been passed by aye-man sleepy walruses in favour of groupie interests and in the interest of easy governance rather than with discernment of justice.

Well, I never linked to it, and since about 2 months after adding it to my RSS reader, has also been removed, so your call doesn’t affect me one way or another.
Having said that, perhaps we all should give anything NSTP-related the cold shoulder. At least for a while. I stopped buying the papers a long time ago, reading my daily dread from the MSM online instead.

heh for the record, you can boycott whomever you like
i’m just curious as to how people who say they never read mblog can claim that the content is crap and totally mainstream. don’t really have to answer me, it’s just something i’ve been thinking for a bit. oh well i can’t boycott anyone though, i love the blogosphere too much

With so much to acquire from the Net there may need to be a cut-off point as to which unprospective site we need not waste time in….and if a Blog also carries a repute that does not appeal, well discretion says we need not specially waste time there…since we’re not born yesterday and have encountered enough crap with time already. Priorities apply.
