Miss Msia favourite for Miss World?
Bookmakers and websites are pitching Miss Malaysia Deborah Priya Henry as a hot favourite to win the Miss World 2007 beauty pageant, reports The Star today.
Yes, she’s not too bad looking, But as a hot favourite? Come on, give me a break.
I dunno where the Star reporter, Chan How Ban, got the quotes for his odds from, but here are the real odds offered by some of the world’s leading bookmakers:
CENTREBET SPORTS: 20-1 to win; 4-1 to be in first three.
LADBROOKES: 20-1 rank outsider.
BETFAIR:29-1 longshot.
The Star should be ashamed of itself for putting the hot favourite tag on Deborah Priya Henry thus putting her under more pressure.

Actually Deborah Henry is one of the best participants from Malaysia in years. But win ? Nah.
