PM: Big mistake to ignore cyber-campaign

Posted:15:30 Mar-25-2008 Filed under: Blogging, Bloopers

Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi today said his “biggest mistake” in disastrous elections was to ignore cyber-campaigning on the Internet which was seized by the opposition.

The powerful Barisan Nasional coalition suffered its worst-ever results in March 8 polls that left five states and a third of parliamentary seats in opposition hands.

The opposition, which was largely ignored by government-linked mainstream media, instead waged an enormously successful online campaign using blogs, news websites and SMS text messages.

“We certainly lost the Internet war, the cyber-war,” Abdullah said in in a speech to an investment conference, reports AFP. ”Continued”

PMS

Posted:15:53 Feb-9-2008 Filed under: Kurang Ajar, Assalamualaikum (السلام عليكم), Bloopers

I just came across the best description of PMS.

"A powerful spell that women are put under about once every month, which gives them the strength of an ox, the stability of a Window’s OS, and the scream of a banshee. Basically, man’s worst nightmare."

Now that I have got your attention, it appears blogosphere’s number one hypocrite mullah wannabe, MENJ, has some real gross fetishes. He’s been caught sarung down bookmarking some very unislamist videos on youtube.

50 lashes or stone to death?

Warring Chinese Politicians

Posted:15:45 Jan-9-2008 Filed under: Malaysian Chinese Ah? (马华), Elections, Bloopers

by Imran Imtiaz Shah Yacob, AsiaSentinel, Jan 9.

Chua Soi Lek, until last week one of Malaysia’s most powerful Chinese politicians, likely owes his downfall to internecine warfare within the Malaysian Chinese Association, the country second-biggest political party.

The wrangling has grown so intense that it could threaten Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi’s plans for an early election.

Chua was forced to resign from his position as Minister of Health on Jan. 2 after confessing to being filmed surreptitiously in a 56-minute sexual tryst with his “friend,” an unidentified young woman. In a press conference acknowledging he was the man in the video, he told reporters: “I would like to emphasize that I did not make the tape. Who has done the tape and why is obvious.”

He did not name the person or persons he suspected, and so far whoever recorded the action remains undetected. ”Continued”

Zzzzzzzzzz *Yawn, stretch*

IMO, this is the video blooper of the year. PM caught snoring while speech was being made to thank him.

It’s unclear whether he left any saliva stains on his sleeve as he struggled to get up as the speech ends.

Why did he suddenly wake up? From flashback he flunked his stats paper when in UM? OMG, he’s Finance Minister now, and yet people criticise Tony Pua?!? ”Continued”

Protection Bill confuses Nazri

Posted:11:19 Oct-8-2007 Filed under: Parliament, Bloopers

De facto Law Minister Mohamed Nazri says under the Witness Protection Act a new identity or even new look can be arranged for the person or persons who recorded the Lingam tape to ensure the person’s identity was protected.

He said that under the Witness Protection Act, witnesses “will not only be protected but can also undergo (plastic) surgery to change their look.”

A Witness Protection Bill was tabled in Parliament several years ago. It’s not moving anywhere anytime fast, and, thus, remains a Bill.

Parliament, though, has passed the Evidence of Child Witness Act 2007.

Nazri, it would appear, couldn’t tell the difference between chaff and hay.

Hey, it’s time for Nazri to have plastic surgery to change his looks. Still got face to face people after such a cock up?

Exec-judiciary link in tape scandal

Posted:11:23 Sep-23-2007 Filed under: Corruption, Umno, Bloopers

Disgraced Chief Justice Ahmad Fairuz contacted the de facto Law Minister Mohd Nazri last night to ask him to issue a denial that he was the person at the end of a telephonic conversation with controversial lawyer VK Lingam to broker the appointment of judges.

Their actions have established a Executive-judiciary link conspiracy — how careless can one get? — as Mohd Nazri has no legal grounds, or business, to make statements on behalf of judges, especially a chief judge who has lost the support and confidence of the judiciary and public.

It is unlawful for the Executive to be the spokesman for a lame duck judge.

Fairuz has not been seen in public since the scandal broke out last week.

Mahathir root of all evil

Posted:09:14 Sep-21-2007 Filed under: Corruption, Mahathir, Bloopers

If you’ve seen Malaysia’s Funniest Home Video, you cannot ignore the fact that it was Mahathir Mohammad who was the root of all evil.

He and members of his regime should be brought to trial like Joseph Ejercito Estrada. What the hell, dreams are free.

Malaysia’s Funniest Home Video

Posted:17:19 Sep-20-2007 Filed under: Legal, Bloopers

Below is a transcript of the conversation by senior lawyer VK Lingam in his telephonic conversation purportedly with Chief Justice Ahmad Fairuz Sheikh Abdul Halim, as recorded in an eight-minute video clip.

The CJ (Chief Justice - judiciary No 1 post) said he is relative to now Agong, so he wants to stay on to 68, so… Tengku Adnan, I told Tengku Adnan, yesterday I had a meeting with him.

He said PM is already very angry with him, he said no problem he is going to make you acting err.. confirm your position as PCA (President of Court of Appeal - judiciary No 2), working very hard, then working very hard to get Tan Sri Mokhtar as CJM (Chief Judge of Malaya - judiciary No 3).

Ah, we just keep it confidential. I am working very hard on it. ”Continued”
