Mahathir’s using blackbook?

Posted:19:12 Jun-29-2008 Filed under: Court, Mahathir, Legal

The furious exchanges of soiled panties in public between, in one corner Justice Ian Chin, and in the other Dr M and his affectionate fear peddler, Matthias Chang, make fascinating reading.

If this was a boxing match, it’s anybody’s guess who’s in front on points.

Chin dropped a bombshell and a sucker punch at the Old Man, alleging the latter ran a boot camp-style judiciary. The sucker punch was making the allegation with absolute immunity from behind the Bench.

Dr M, using his remote control toy for his broadside, said the boot camps were motivational courses. If they were, I wonder what Dr M does for motivation.

Like a pitbull, Dr M threw allegations back into Chin’s court, saying Chin was no choir boy, that Chin did not stand down in a case where the judge allegedly had vested interest. ”Continued”

Judge hits back at ‘devil incarnate’

This is a story I that lifted again (naughty, naughty) from malayisakini. Don’t know who the scribe is, so no by-lines. :-)

IMO there should be a royal commission on the judge’s claims.

Surely we are not gonna let the dictator of 22 years go home to mummy, tail between legs andsobbing.

Mahathir, was the incestrous father and mother to crony politics. But I can’t be sure whether all his trades were done upright or some were done through happy-go-lucky GROs. DIY services are usually for the El Cheapstakes. ”Continued”

Dr M outlines plan to oust PM

Posted:18:52 Jun-1-2008 Filed under: Umno, Mahathir

Mahathir Mohamad urged disgruntled ruling party lawmakers not to defect to the opposition to oust the embattled prime minister, but to become independents.

In a de facto masterplan for toppling Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi without losing power, Mahathir said becoming independent lawmakers meant they could avoid opposition figurehead Anwar Ibrahim having a shot at the job, reports AFP.

Abdullah has come under intense pressure to step down since a humiliating setback for his United Malays National Organisation (UMNO)-led coalition in March 8 general elections.

A three-party opposition alliance, unofficially led by 60-year-old Anwar, seized control of five states and a third of parliamentary seats.

Abdullah, however, insists he still has a mandate and will only discuss a transition of power to his deputy Najib Razak after party polls in December. ”Continued”

Dr M warns of unrest

Posted:14:07 May-24-2008 Filed under: Mahathir

Dr Mahathir Mohamad has warned of possible unrest, accusing the PM of failing to assert his authority.

“Now we are seeing the different races making demands on the government, which they perceive as a weak government,” he said yesterday, reports AFP.

He said “extremists” among different communities had begun to voice their opposition and make unfair demands on the government, trying to “divide rather than unite.” ”Continued”

Dr M urges MPs to jump ship

Posted:13:49 May-21-2008 Filed under: Umno, Mahathir

Two days after quitting Umno, ex-president and premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad has suggested another way to force his successor Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to step down, reports malaysiakini.

Barisan Nasional MPs should hop out of the coalition, he wrote in a concise 10-point post on his blog, Chedet.com

“We have heard a lot about the possibility of BN members hopping into opposition parties. If 35 members join the opposition, BN will fall. The opposition will win and form the next government,” he wrote.

He reasoned that BN representatives should not hop into any opposition party in Pakatan Rakyat.

“What will happen to all the BN party hoppers? They won’t become PM because surely the Pakatan leader will become PM. Other Pakatan members will also become ministers and deputy ministers,” he explained. ”Continued”

Dr M dares govt to charge him

Posted:18:34 May-17-2008 Filed under: Corruption, Mahathir

Mahathir Mohamad is challenging the government to charge him for his alleged involvement in a judge-fixing scandal during his rule.

The government yesterday released a report that found evidence of an “insidious” conspiracy to influence the appointment of judges and had listed Mahathir, along with other top figures, as being involved.

Following the release of the report, Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi’s cabinet agreed for the Attorney-General’s Chambers to immediately investigate the allegations against those identified in the report, including Mahathir.

“I welcome it,” said Mahathir at a meeting in Johor. ”Continued”
