Umno plans graceful exit for PM

Posted:12:13 Apr-14-2008 Filed under: Umno, Rumour has it...

Rumours have it that a succession plan is in place for the graceful exit of Pak Lah.

If the rumours are true, Pak Lah will be slowly eased out of the picture as Najib gathers momentum to take over as Umno President unopposed.

Goodbye Pak Lah. You can sleep-in everyday from now on.

Action against blogger who said PM collapsed?

Posted:19:29 May-14-2007 Filed under: IT, Rumour has it..., Blogging

This is a Bernama report, 17:46hr.

The blogsite operator who reported that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi fainted at a function in Lumut, Perak, Sunday could face action including being charged under the Sedition Act if the article contained elements of slander.

Deputy Minister of Energy, Water and Communications Datuk Shaziman Abu Mansor said the ministry was studying the report before deciding on the type of action to be taken against the blogger.

“I have not read the report in the blogsite but if there are elements of slander, action can be taken under the Penal Code. This comes under the Internal Security Ministry,” he told reporters at the parliament lobby here today.

He was commenting on a report in a blogsite that Abdullah fainted at the function in Lumut. The Prime Minister has since denied the report and regretted its inaccuracy. ”Continued”

Shame-the-blogs campaign on the way?

Posted:12:33 Mar-14-2007 Filed under: Rumour has it..., Blogging

I heard a juicy piece of gossip recently about how a government agency is about to collect quotes from our unemployed, females-dominated blogosphere, compile them and publish it as an info booklet to ‘warn’ the public that blogosphere is a factory for lies and frivolous rants.

This, Nanny says, is a threat to national building efforts.

So, which ministries will have parts in this Shame-the-blogs campaign? Why even waste time and taxpayers’ money on such a lame campaign? Who’ll be the next VIP to spew some controversy re bloggers in a concerted effort to work them up?

Correct me if this is wrong, but I was told remanded murder accused Abdul Razak Baginda, head of the Malaysian Strategic Research Institute, is still on full pay.

I heard a rumour…

Posted:12:13 Nov-30-2006 Filed under: Rumour has it...

I heard a new round of gossip today that I have no doubt will spread like wildfire haze soon and cloud the political scenery.

There are chatters Sleepyhead has had enough of (sh)it and is having thoughts of stepping down before the next general elections.

Goodnight, sleep tight in lah-lah land.

Goodbye KJ, sorry things didn’t quite work out.

Ezam to defect to Umno?

Posted:17:07 Nov-9-2005 Filed under: Politics, Keadilan, Rumour has it...

Is Keadilan’s Pemuda chief Ezam Mohd Nor defecting back to Umno in the next few days?

The gossip has been around for almost two weeks now. malaysiakini has joined the bandwagon and has a report on this matter today.

Depending on where one hears the goss from, reasons for his supposed plans range from frustration with Keadilan, to personality clash, to testing the water for one folk hero.
